Success is earned, it is not given. You must work and work and work some more honing in on your passion, dreams, and goal and you still might not see any “success”. We as humans have something that no other species on this planet possesses. We have the power of imagination. We can look into the future of what we want and desire to be ours and see it before we even have it. This is a true gift that many people take advantage of or seek to even realize. On your journey to success, your imagination will keep you focused. Keeping your thoughts and dreams aligned with the future you desire will push you forward when you can’t even push yourself. Think big, dream bigger and never put limits on what you can and cannot do.

Adopt A Growth Mindset Instead Of A Fixed-Mindset:
Have you ever put a limit on your capability to accomplishing something? Have you ever thought something you wanted was impossible? Having this mindset is what the scientists are calling a fixed mindset. If you have a fixed mindset you will think what I saying is BS, but it is the truth and I discovered my fixed mindset about 3 years ago. It had to be one of the best things I discovered about myself. Don’t limit yourself, in an unlimited possibility future, anything is possible. You can change or do anything you want whether you realize you can or not. As humans, we have untapped potential in our minds that many humans go day to day without ever fully using. You don’t want to have a fixed mindset, you want to open your mind to the bigger picture thinking of a growth mindset.
A growth mindset is a very powerful mindset to adopt in your daily life. Picture being able to accomplish ANYTHING you set out to do. With a growth mindset, you believe in the potential growth out of doing any task instead of a traditionally fixed mindset which doesn’t tap into the potential of learning something new or different to help you accomplish what you want. With a growth mindset, you are open to all possibilities of what you can achieve. What would you accomplish if you were limitless? What would you potentially try to do in your life that you wouldn’t normally try? These dreams and aspirations that live inside of us are our subconscious minds telling us what we should go after. Follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know where you are going.
Go un-tap your mind and take conscious realization of what you are doing. Stop reacting to life, and begin responding.
Have A Not-To-Do List As Well As A To-Do List:
People seem to make todo list after to-do list every day but fail to actually get anything tangible out of doing it. That is because merely writing down what you want to accomplish is not enough. You must also be aware of the things that you wish not to do in your pursuit of doing the things you truly wish to do.
Having a not-to-do list can save you time, energy and frustration. If you write down the things you know you shouldn’t be doing, you can focus on the things you should be doing and will accomplish more of the things you truly want to get done. A lot of the things you wish not to do are the things holding you back from accomplishing the things you wish to do.
Write out your not-to-do list you will sometimes be able to notice a pattern between your not-to-do’s and your todo list.
Surround Yourself With Success:
You can’t and won’t succeed surrounded by people with small dreams and goals. You will succeed by default by surrounding yourself with highly successful people in the area you wish to achieve success. These people will pull you up because they see you trying to succeed and they have gone through the same process to get where they are.
Everyone always talks about the sacrifices you have to make on the road to riches. This is one of them. You must stop immediately talking to people in your life that are toxic or negative. If you have a dream, go out and chase it. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t achieve something. Life is an abundance and people will envy your passion and energy towards following your dreams because they never did. Take the road less traveled by.
Stop talking to people who won’t support you. Stop talking to people who don’t believe in your vision. On the contrary, listen to these people if you have to, but don’t let their opinions affect your beliefs. Life is 80% psychology, 20% how a situation unfolds. Your mind had potential beyond measure, feed it with success.
Create Systems Instead Of Goals
To have goals is not enough. To have a system is one of your most important keys to success. Being able to have the discipline each day to a set specific plan will help you excel in all areas of your life physically, mentally and emotionally.
A goal will help you push yourself further, a system will help you grow. You can’t depend on your goal to push you to accomplish it, but you can depend on your proven system to push you. For example, if you are looking to start a business, don’t just write the goal of “start a business.” Create a system where you can thrive and be able to put in the time and effort it takes to create a business. For example, although this may not fit your needs or schedule, you can create the system of waking up 1 hour earlier each day and devoting all that time to research and develop of what you want to create. Each day, if you truly want to commit to starting a business, wake up that hour earlier, have a nice cup of coffee and start your day.
Try to create a system of your own for something you has putting off. Set your system up like a habit loop, where you have your cue, then your routine, then your reward so your mind makes this system into a habit.
Wake Up Earlier
The early bird catches the worm? It sure does! If you are someone who enjoys sleep, well you should change your mindset about sleep. Scientific studies have proven that the average human only needs between 7 and 8 hours of sleep each night. If you are getting more than this amount, you are oversleeping. Early risers are also known to be more disciplined and more proactive as well as happier on a day to day basis.
Get to bed slightly earlier, rise slightly earlier and I don’t think you will notice a difference in the shift.
Read 1 Book A Week
Reading can help you in all areas of your life. If the average American is only reading less than 4 books a year and you read 25 books a year, do you think you will go further in life? Absolutely. Books are an endless powerful resource to help you in any area of your life that you think needs improvement. Books can help you speed through years of learning in a couple hours of reading. Each book that you pick up and finish has a wealth of knowledge from someone who may have done years of study to write said book. In my perspective, and the reason why I am motivated to read so many books(about 50 books in the past year or so) is that reading is like time-traveling. By sitting and reading for a couple hours a day, you are actually learning something that could have taken you years to learn, or months. The power of reading is endless and the benefits are infinite.
Change your thinking about reading and it won’t be as mundane or boring. Think of reading as fun, or that has the possibility to provide you with more perspective on life. Life is all about mental shifts. Start looking at things with curiosity and enjoyment and life will be more fulfilling and enjoyable.
Take Cold Showers

Cold showers are my reward for waking up early each day. Jumping into a cold shower in the morning rocket charges my day! I feel more alert, more awake and even happier and intrinsically motivated to get things done. A cold shower is like having a drink with a large amount of caffeine without the jitters. I just feel clean and refreshed.
To take a really freezing cold shower(which I suggest), you must first learn how to slow down your breathing. The first time you try to get into a freezing cold shower your body will go into shock and you will start to heavily breathe and this will make you jump out from under the water. If you can learn to control how you breathe in and out while under cold water, it will help you stay under the water longer. You must take deep breathes in and deep, slow breathes out. In through your nose, out through your mouth. Just keep repeating this, and eventually, the water actually will become bearable. Try it, it is called the Wim Hof Method.

Use Your Subconscious Mind To Achieve Anything
The power of your subconscious mind is limitless. On a day to day basis, your mind is processing millions of pieces of information each minute. Although your conscious mind works in synergy with your subconscious mind, you can’t notice everything going on each second. It would be unbearable and you would overload.
Your conscious mind is truly your understanding of self. Your subconscious mind is like the motherboard to a computer. You don’t ever see the motherboard, but you use the computer and everything just seems to work. This is like our minds. We function on a daily basis without ever realizing the power beneath it all. Our subconscious minds make up the world we live in. If you are feeling sad, the world around you will feel sad. If you are super energetic and happy, the world around you will feel just as vibrant and upbeat. It is quite an amazing power to realize the potential you have just within yourself and the control you can have over everything that goes on around you.
Take immediate control of your mind right now. Take 5–10 minutes, get a pen and paper and “thought drop.” Write down every single thought you are having in your mind and push the pen to paper! This exercise is similar to journaling, and it will awaken your mind and clear all the thoughts and worries you are having.
Three ways to use the power of your subconscious mind daily:
Ask a question to yourself right before you go to sleep. Your subconscious mind is most receptive to requests before bed or as soon as you wake up. But let your subconscious mind work for you while you sleep at night. Meditate every day to control your mind and where it focuses its energy. Some people feel drained on a daily basis and this is due to not focusing their minds on things that are really important to them. When you wake up tell yourself 5 powerful affirmations to set your day. Make sure you phrase them in the present tense as if you already have what you want. Some of the affirmations that I use are:
- 1. I am a best-selling author
- 2. I am a confident, happy person
- 3. I am full of energy
- 4. I am powerful and wealthy
- 5. I have the ability to conquer all problems that arise
The daily practice of affirmation can strengthen and improve all areas of your life. When you start to think what you want to achieve or believe, this puts you into the mindset of that said thing. Your thoughts are so powerful, and if you are not continually sending positive affirmations to your subconscious mind, your mind is almost stagnant in its growth. Affirmations help to give you center and direction based on what you want to achieve in your life. Affirmations help set you up for success in whatever you are looking to achieve way before the finish line. When you affirm yourself of whatever you want to accomplish in your life, you’re helping to send signals to your subconscious mind to get working towards these things. This is not bullshit, it’s psychology. If you start each day in a rush, chasing behind your snoozes each morning, your mindset will change the course of your morning and decisions.
Upon waking up, set your day and thoughts up for clarity. Have a few affirmations pre-determined before waking up that you are going to repeat to yourself. Don’t state your affirmations in the wrong tenses. Your affirmations should be something similar to the examples below:
1. My life is what I want it to be, and I make the choices.
2. I am full of energy and flooded with joy!
3. My body is healthy; my mind is brilliant; my soul is tranquil.
4. I will not let negative thoughts get the best of me.
5. Within me, I possess the qualities needed to be extremely successful in any endeavor I choose.
6. (For entrepreneurs & business owners) My business is prosperous, healthy and profitable.
7. I have the creativity to me to solve my biggest problems today.
8. I choose to be happy today and I will smile at everyone I see!
Gratitude is your way of telling the world around you that you are grateful for being here. The simplest words of gratitude can set your day in a completely different direction. I don’t think a lot of people realize how grateful they are. If you are reading this blog on a computer and comprehending it, you are better than 1 billion other people who can’t read, and another 1.5 billion people who don’t have access to a computer. You literally are in the top 1% of the world no matter your financial or emotional situation at this current moment. Can we take a minute to give gratitude to the world around you and what you have?
The world gives to those that give back gratitude to the world. If you are someone who is grateful for being alive, and for everything that you have, the world will give provide you with an abundance.
It is all about dancing in the rain when the music stops.
Seek To Create Value, Not Money
This is the best lesson I have ever learned in my life. I love money and for a lot of my life, I chased it constantly. But it comes to a point where money can’t be the best motivator when it comes to starting and maintaining a business venture. Value is your greatest asset in life, and if you can create value for other people, then you become valuable as a result.
Any successful company is successful as a result of doing or creating something worth value to a lot of people. Any successful person, in the eyes of society, is successful due to their result of creating lasting valuing in whatever they are doing.
The value you bring to the table is directly correlated to the amount of money you will make. Stop chasing money and start creating value for others around you.
